touring, commuter, and bike messenger jacket. Showers
Pass started making these jackets for customers
who were riding to work or needed a solid, durable
jacket. Showers Pass ended up creating a
good-looking jacket that allows you to wear your street
clothes underneath the jacket or layer up for more
warmth. If you are outside all day in the rain this
jacket will keep the elements off but give you the
ventilation options you need to stay comfortable.
The jacket is built with lightweight and durable mini-ripstop
fabric. It is waterproof to a water column standard

PASS - DOUBLE CENTURY
The
Showers Pass Double Century Jacket is one
of the best all-round light-weight, packable, full
featured waterproof-breathable jackets you can buy
today. The jacket uses technical ripstop face fabric
with a waterproof-breathable laminate, has seven ventilation
points, is fully seam-sealed, and has been tested
on rainy rides all over the Pacific Northwest. It
functions great as both a wind and rain jacket and
you can regulate your temperature with the ventilation
system to avoid over-heating.
Weight for size large is about 270 grams or 9.5 oz.

Showers
Pass Rain Pants are cut for wearing over other
clothing - whether tights or commuter/street clothes.
They have been worn in all-day rain storms and stayed
dry. They have enough knee flex to use for other sports,
such as Nordic skiing, horseback riding, or hiking.
These
rain pants use a medium-weight waterproof, breathable
2.5 layer fabric, that will withstand the stresses
of daily commuting or cycle touring. In our experience,
rain pants can get hot and sweaty if there is no active
ventilation provided. Based on substantial field testing
(riding in the rain - its a job, but someone has to
do it) Showers Pass has engineered effective
vents that won't let rain in.
Vents
are in two places: the knee and at the upper waist.
The pants are constructed wth an articulated knee,
sort of like a shingle, that uses a sturdy lycra panel
to provide lower leg ventilation and eliminates binding
when pedaling. The vertical side pockets (with zipper
closure) have a mesh liner, providing ventilation
when the pockets are open. These four vents (two knees,
two pockets) effectively prevent sweat buildup during
hard efforts, like doing a long climb.
